The 1987 Club is an informal association of Golf Clubs based in the British Isles which were formed in the year 1987. The objectives of the 1987 Club are:
1. To promote friendship and camaraderie between the clubs in the association.
2. To offer preferential facilities for members of other 1987 Club's if they wish to visit, including playing golf, arranging dining or simply enjoying a drink in the bar.
Club members will be responsible for making their own arrangements IN ADVANCE with either the Club Secretary/Manager or Professional of the club they wish to visit. If golf is to be arranged, a tee time will be allocated, and it is important to advise the host club of their arrival. Numbers in a visiting group must be kept to a reasonable level. It is best to check with the host club if more than four players are intending to visit on the same day. It is not appropriate to arrive unannounced.
When playing golf, club members must ensure that they are complying with the host club's dress code and produce a current WHS Handicap Certificate or a recent letter of introduction (dated within the last three months) from the Secretary of their own club.
